If an RSVP, the choice to show your name, or a meeting booking on a public event cannot be saved, the page says what to do next instead of showing a technical error. A meeting that is booked is shown as booked even if a notification email then fails to send.
Each response is also recorded in the application log, so a failure can be traced.
