A Google account whose name was one letter could not create a Magpie account: sign-in went back to the start with "Your account could not be created." Any name of at least one character now works when you sign up with email, Google, Apple, GitHub or LinkedIn, during setup, in Settings, and in the app. If Google sends no name at all, the part of your email address before the @ stands in until you change it.

Signing up, including with Google, and changing your name no longer need a name of two or more characters.
