When your browser reports no time zone, or reports UTC to keep it private, setup now asks for your time zone after its first question, with the time zone of the place you signed up from already chosen. An account made with Google, Apple, GitHub or LinkedIn now takes the time zone your browser reports during setup.
An account whose time zone was missing or not a real time zone has been set to Eastern Time, shown as Toronto, the city Magpie is based in. Change it in Account settings.
