Turn on Talk page in Walkie Talkie settings to get a public address, such as magpie.diy/talk/yourname, for your website or social media profiles. Visitors see your photo, name and greeting, hold the Talk button and speak, then send their message with Apple, Google or a link emailed to them. Sending makes them a free Magpie account, so they can hear your reply.
What they send arrives under Requests in Walkie Talkie. Replying accepts a request. Ignore takes it out of the list without telling them, and Block stops them sending you more. Until you reply, each person can send 3 messages of up to 2 minutes, and cannot talk live. You see the name they gave, not their email address.
Share your talk page has a picture for an Instagram story, shared from your phone with the address ready for a Link sticker, and the picture X, Bluesky and messaging apps show under your address.
