On Android, the Magpie app now has a notification category for each kind of alert: Chat, Social Media, Staff Scheduling, Store orders, Store stock and Daily Operations. Each can be turned off or made quieter in the device's notification settings for Magpie without changing the others. Chat, Staff Scheduling, Store orders and Daily Operations alerts show at the top of the screen.
On Android 13 and later, the app did not ask for notification permission, so the device was never registered for alerts. It now asks.
