Choosing + in a day that already has a shift will start the new shift when the last one ends. Shifts back to back are no longer called a split shift, and Break on long shifts counts them as one stretch of work, so four hours and then four more need the break that eight hours would. In the Day view, all of a person's shifts are in their one row.
Fixed Scheduled and worked counting the same tracked time for both of two shifts in a day. Time that was not started from a shift is now shared between the shifts it falls beside.
