Walkie Talkie conversations work like a chat window

A Walkie Talkie conversation now fills the screen like a chat window, with the newest messages at the bottom and a large Talk button under them.

A Walkie Talkie conversation now fills the screen like a chat window. Its messages are one timeline with the newest at the bottom, other people's on the left and yours on the right. The Talk button and the text box are at the foot of the page, in reach of a thumb on a phone.

The Talk button is larger. While you talk it shows the time and the level of your voice, and a short tone says the recording has started. Record, then send or Live is chosen just above it, and the line above that says who will hear you. Press Enter on the button to start and stop a recording without holding it.

Each voice message has a round Play button, red until you have heard it, and the unheard voice messages straight after it play in turn. While a recording plays, the row above the Talk button holds pause, back and forward 10 seconds, and the speed; while messages are unheard, the same row offers to play them. A message's other actions (reply, save, copy, edit, delete) are in its ⋯ menu. Hear live talk is beside the conversation's name, and Mark as caught up, the conversation's settings and Leave conversation are in More.

In the conversations list, every row now ends with when the last message arrived, and says You for your own. Fixed times such as "2 hours ago" in Walkie Talkie's lists, which could be off by several hours.
