Changelog

Improved Connected apps

Connected apps: a link in the footer

Internal: the footer's Product column links to the Connected apps Help article.

Fixed Account

Pages not yet translated are marked as English

A page Magpie has not translated yet is marked as English for screen readers and browsers, whatever language your browser asks for.

Improved Documentation

Approved the Outreach sending server specification

Internal: docs/specs/OUTREACH_SENDING_SERVER.md is approved; a server is never to be rebuilt, and the certificate is registered with the starting admin's address.

New Account

Choose your language, and the language your customers read

Settings has a Your language row, and each team has a Language for customers, which now sets your Store's language.

Improved Documents

Word, OpenDocument and Markdown keep footnotes, list indents and highlights

Importing and exporting a document keeps footnotes, endnotes, indented list items, checklists, highlight, superscript, subscript, alignment and code blocks.

New Connected apps

Connected apps: changes by an app, the Connected apps page and Help, for site admins

Internal: connected apps can now make changes, Connected apps lists and disconnects them, and the Help article and contract are written. Still for site admins only.

Improved Documentation

Added the Outreach sending server specification

Internal: docs/specs/OUTREACH_SENDING_SERVER.md specifies how a team's own server becomes its Outreach sending route, set up once by Magpie with a key that is then destroyed.

Improved Proposals

Highlight, checklists and alignment in proposals

A proposal's text can be highlighted, aligned, set in superscript or subscript, and written as checklists and indented lists, as in Documents.

New Documents

Highlight, footnotes, coloured code and checklists in Documents

Documents can highlight text, add footnotes and endnotes where the cursor is, colour code for its language, indent list items, tick checklists and align paragraphs.

Fixed Account

Check your sign-in methods names sign-ins from the Magpie app

The recent sign-ins on Check your sign-in methods list a sign-in from the Magpie app as Magpie app.

Improved Mobile app

Added the API for signing in to the app with an emailed code

The API can now email a code for the Magpie app, sign in with it, and confirm an address with it.

Improved Developer tools

Feature page route directory removed

docs/FEATURE_MARKETING.md now says where each feature-page file is and which checks to run.

Fixed Developer tools

Fake test data is kept out of migrations

docs/SEED_DATA.md now writes seed data as standalone files outside the repository, which a person runs by hand.

Improved Developer tools

Store, Daily Operations and Inventory documents brought up to date

Each area's contract document now holds its decisions and what is not built.

Improved Client Portal

Every Client Portal client gets a Magpie account

A client you invite to a Client Portal now gets a Magpie account at the address you invited.

Improved Presentations

Change fonts, colours, gradients, opacity and rotation in the slide editor

Edit selected in the Presentations editor changes how the selected text, shape, line or picture looks, and stays open beside the slide while you work.

Improved Documentation

Added the Internationalization specification

Internal: docs/specs/INTERNATIONALIZATION.md specifies Magpie in other languages: one translation engine, a language per member and per team's customers, public pages at /fr/, and dates and money written for the language.

New Connected apps

Connected apps: the MCP endpoint and its OAuth server, for site admins

Internal: slices 1 to 3 of docs/specs/MCP_SERVER.md are built for site admins only: the tables, the OAuth server with its consent page, and /mcp for reads.

New Outreach

Outreach: Help for campaigns, people, sending and unsubscribing

Outreach sends a series of emails, one person at a time, from your own Mail address, and stops for each person when they reply. It is in preview for Magpie's site administrators, and its Help is written.

New Outreach

Outreach: on contacts, in Search and the assistant, and from pasted JSON, as an admin preview

Internal: a contact's page shows their Outreach campaigns and a Do not email switch; campaigns are found by Search, Recent work and the assistant; and a campaign can be made from pasted JSON.
