Appearance, a tab of the Link-In-Bio List, sets how the public page looks. Every control saves as soon as you change it. Preview shows the page as a visitor sees it, with the same markup and styling, in a smaller frame.

Each palette is a contrast-checked pairing of background and text. Background patterns are drawn from your palette and accent. If you set your own background colour, the text changes to black or white, whichever is readable on it.

Colour

Palette sets the background and text colours together. The light palettes are Light, Paper, Mist, Sand, Blush, Sage, Soft and High contrast; the dark ones are Dark, Midnight, Noir, Forest, Plum, Ocean and Ember. Your accent colour builds the page from the accent instead.

Accent colour is used for buttons, highlights, and the tint in a patterned background. Text on the accent is black or white, whichever is readable.

Background colour replaces the palette's background with one of your own, and the text follows it. The × beside it, shown while a colour is set, returns the background to the palette's.

Background is how that colour is painted:

  • Flat colour: one colour, edge to edge.
  • Vertical fade, Corner glow, Aurora: the accent blended into the background from the top, a corner, or several places.
  • Dot grid, Line grid, Diagonal stripes, Fine grain: a pattern drawn in your text colour at low strength.
  • Vignette: darker at the edges than the middle.

Shape

Container is whether your links are drawn in a box. With No container, the default, the column has no edge of its own and the background fills the page. Panel, Outlined, Raised, Frosted glass, and Full-height sheet each draw a container.

Layout sets how wide the column is and how links are arranged. Stacked is one full-width link per row. Two across puts links in pairs, with headings and dividers still across the full width. Compact rows reduces the spacing for a long list. Wide column and Narrow column change the column's width.

Typeface changes the whole page: Sans, Serif, Display, Typewriter, Rounded or System default. Display, Typewriter and Rounded load one font file when someone opens your public page; the others load none.

Button style is how each link is drawn: Solid, Outline, Soft, Glass, Hard shadow, or Text only, which draws a line of text with a rule under it instead of a button. Glass and Hard shadow are made for a patterned background.

Corners (Softly rounded, Pill or Square) applies to the container as well as the buttons.

A link with its own colour, set in the Links tab, keeps that colour whatever the button style.

Picture is the shape of your profile picture: Circle, Rounded square, Square, Banner (a full-width cover image) or Hidden, which leaves it off the page without removing it from your settings.

Alignment places the name and description Centred, Left, or Beside the picture. A banner picture ignores Beside the picture.

Social profiles draws the row under your name as Icons, Filled icons, or Text labels.

In the native app

The native Appearance screen offers the same preset choices. Colours sets the accent or background colour with a six-digit hexadecimal value, and Use palette background removes a custom background.

Setting all of it at once

Every field on this screen can also be set by pasting a JSON document; see Build a links list by pasting JSON for the format.

For the blocks and settings behind the design, see Build a Link-In-Bio List. If a setting will not save, or the public page does not match the preview, Contact support.
