Accounting is marked Coming soon, and only Magpie administrators who are admins of a team can open it.
Setting up the books chooses the date they start and keeps them in the team currency, which then cannot change. Magpie adds a standard chart of accounts that can be renamed, renumbered and added to. A journal entry is posted only when its debits equal its credits, and a posted entry is corrected by reversing it. Each account's page shows its entries with a running balance, Reports shows the trial balance on any date, and Closed through in Accounting settings stops entries in a closed period. Every change to the books is listed under Activity.
Invoices, payments, expenses and sales are not added to the books yet.
