In the Accounting preview, which only Magpie administrators can open, the overview now lists what needs doing (transactions to review, bills due, records needing an amount, opening balances), then what each bank, card and cash account holds, then this year's income and expenses. Opening balances records what the business had and owed when the books start.
In Banking, suggested accounts and matches are labelled, Add all suggested adds them together, and adding or excluding a transaction keeps your place with an Undo. Reconciling updates the totals as you tick. Bills keep their amounts but their number, due date and memo can be changed in place, and the bill form adds lines as needed. Reports have date ranges such as This quarter, form errors appear beside the field, and rules can be reordered.
