Fixed Dashboard

The assistant searches for what you mean

Dates, statuses and conditions you give the Dashboard assistant now act as filters instead of search words, titles are tidied, and a follow-up applies to the record just found.

The Dashboard assistant used to search for the words of a filter you gave it, so “expenses last month” looked for the text “last month” and found nothing. A date, a status or a yes/no condition now sets the filter only, and the search words keep what you asked to find.

A to-do made “for tomorrow” is called what you named it, without the date, and “Remind me to pay the bill” becomes the to-do “pay the bill”. A note made with a title and a text keeps both. An event with a start time and no end ends an hour later.

After a search finds one record, “change her email” or “delete it” applies to that record without asking which one. When something is missing, the assistant asks in plain words, such as “Which board, and what should it say?”.

“Help” lists what the assistant can do, “Open the favicon generator” answers with the section’s count and link, and thanks or a greeting gets a short reply. A request that names another team, such as “in my Diary account”, is read in that team without a confirmation question, and “unpaid” or “overdue” now filters invoices.
