Opening a saved contact used to show the whole record as input boxes, so you had to click into each field to find out whether it held anything. A contact now opens as what it is: the name, company, tags, emails, phone numbers, addresses and notes read as text. Click any value to change it and it saves on its own — no Save button to remember, and no risk of losing an edit further up the page. Emails and phone numbers gained the pieces a form gave you for free: add one, remove one, or make one the primary. An address opens as a small form of its own, since its seven parts are really one thing. Adding a brand new contact still opens the full form, which is the one place a page of empty boxes belongs. Fixing a first or last name now also updates the display name when it was never typed by hand, so the heading, the contacts list and new invoices stop showing the old one.

A saved contact now opens as the record itself rather than as a form, and every value is edited where it stands.
