Editing your date of birth on the review screen used to open a plain text box that accepted anything and then refused whatever was not written the one way it wanted, without saying what that was. It now opens a date picker, and the value reads as a written date rather than as digits separated by dashes. Anything reaching the check without a picker is told the format it needs.
