The Design Inspector is now arranged in sections: Layer, Position and size, Text, Appearance, Fill, Stroke, Effects, then layout. Fills can be solid, linear gradient or radial gradient. Strokes can be solid, dashed or dotted. Corner radius accepts one value or four. Effects add drop shadows, inner shadows and blur. Opacity is a percentage, and each Layer has a blend mode. Images have a fit setting and alt text. The Font list includes common Google Fonts. The canvas, Prototypes and exports draw these the same way, and Inspect shows the matching CSS, including flexbox or grid for Auto Layout.
Selecting several Layers shows Align, Distribute and Combine in the Inspector instead of the toolbar. Right-click a Layer or the canvas for Cut, Copy, Paste, Duplicate, layer order, Group, Ungroup, Hide, Lock and Delete. New shortcuts include arrow keys to nudge, Cmd/Ctrl+A, Cmd/Ctrl+X, Cmd/Ctrl+] and [, Shift+Cmd/Ctrl+G, H and L, Enter, Tab, Shift+0, + and −, and Cmd/Ctrl+K for Quick actions. Dragged Layers show red snap lines; Shift keeps a drag to one axis. Shift+R shows rulers, and dragging from a ruler adds a guide.
The Layers list now reads front to back like the canvas, with eye and padlock controls. Locked Layers cannot be selected on the canvas. Top-level Frames show their names above them, new Frames clip their contents, and a new file opens with common Frame sizes to choose from.
The Comment tool (C) pins a comment to a spot. Numbered pins show open threads, and comments, replies and resolving update without reloading. Libraries moved to the Assets tab, Export lives in Inspect, and the Page Inspector can rename, recolour, duplicate or delete a Page. Design home shows a preview of each file and an Archived list with Restore and Delete.
