On the front page, each tool in the list has a socket in its corner. Cables are spread down the list, about one per screen, each plugged between two tools near each other. One end at a time is pulled out and plugged into another tool nearby: the plug travels, the cable hangs and bounces, then stays a while. A tool shows its colour while a cable is plugged into it.
The cables sit over the list and do not get in the way of opening a tool. Only cables on screen move, and nothing moves while the tab is hidden. With reduced motion turned on in the system settings, the cables hang still.
The list's heading now says that the tools connect to each other.
