Use GitHub CLI to export issues from a repository, then upload the JSON file in the Issues import screen. Magpie imports titles, descriptions, labels, the first assignee, source issue numbers, and available creation and close times. Open issues map to a nonterminal team status; closed issues map to a completed status.
The import uses the existing preview and column mapping, so you can review the records before creating them. Comments, attachments and pull requests are not included.
