When a draft had finished saving before you chose Send, Mail could stay on Sending… without sending, and the message went only after reloading and choosing Send again. Send now sends on the first click whether or not the draft has just saved. Discard had the same problem and is fixed too.

Send and Discard in Mail now work on the first click, including when the draft has already saved.
