Passkeys

You can add passkeys in Account settings and sign in with your device's fingerprint, face recognition, screen lock or PIN instead of a password.

Added a Passkeys section to Account settings. Add passkey opens your browser's own dialog to create one, and the list shows each passkey's name, when it was added and when it was last used. You can rename or remove a passkey there. Adding or removing one asks you to confirm it's you if you last signed in more than 10 minutes ago, and Magpie emails your account's address about each change.

To sign in, select the email field on the sign-in page and choose your passkey from the browser's suggestions; you do not type your email address or password. A passkey sign-in does not ask for a two-factor code. Passkeys are optional: the sign-in page and every other way to sign in are unchanged. The mobile app does not use passkeys.
