Improved Git Repositories

File sizes in Git repositories, and a tidier public repository page

Each file in a Git repository's list shows its size, folders at the top level are shown as folders, and the public page reads more clearly.

Each file in a Git repository's list now shows its size, in KB or MB, at the end of its line, on the repository page, in folders and on the public page. Folders at the top of a repository are now listed as folders, first, rather than as files.

On the public page at /g/<team>/<repository>:

  • The description sits directly under the name, so it reads as what the repository is.
  • The whole clone address shows. Copy changes to Copied for a moment instead of a line appearing under the address.
  • A short page leaves some open space before the footer.

The footer on public pages keeps its four lists of links side by side on narrower windows, and two to a row on a phone, instead of one or two long columns.
