New Secure Files

Share Secure Files with expiring links

Secure Files links keep the file key encrypted in your browser and can expire, require a separate passphrase, or stop after one download authorization.

The Secure Files admin preview can create links for people without Magpie accounts. The browser encrypts the file key for the link; its decryption secret stays after the # in the address and is not sent to Magpie. Links can expire after 1 hour, 1 day, 7 days or 30 days, require a passphrase sent separately, or allow one download authorization. A one-download transfer can finish after it starts. Revoking a link stops new server access, but cannot remove a file someone has already downloaded.
