Magpie had grown five different pop-out menus, each built its own way. Some closed when you pressed Escape and some did not; some could be used from the keyboard and some could not; several were cut off at the edge of a scrolling panel or hung off the bottom of the window.
They now all use the same component, so they all behave the same way. Every menu opens with Enter or the down arrow, moves with the arrow keys, closes with Escape and returns you to where you were, closes when you click away or the page scrolls, and stays on screen wherever it is opened.
The menus affected are the note options menu in Notes, the Preview, add-section and outline-status menus in Books, the comment actions menu on Boards, the right-click card menu in the Idea Workspace, and the spreadsheet command menus.
To-dos: "Move to" in the bulk actions bar is now a menu rather than a dropdown that looked like it was reporting a setting, and deleting several To-dos at once now uses Magpie's own confirmation instead of the browser's.
Books: the outline status menu marks the current status, and the writing toolbar's "Aa..." panel can now be closed with Escape.
