Creating an account on the website now asks for the email address first, then a name and password. An address that already has an account is offered Log in instead.
After signing up, Magpie asks what you want to do first and pins the matching tools on your Dashboard. You then choose Just me or A team, and a plan for that choice: Free or Pro for Personal, Free or the Team plan for a new team. A new team can invite people as the last step. Every step can be skipped, and setup resumes at the step you reached if you leave and come back. Dashboard then shows the first thing to do in the tool you chose first.
Accounts created with an email address and password are sent a confirmation link. Inviting people to a team and buying a plan need a confirmed address.
The new Pricing page compares Free, Pro and the Team plan. A plan chosen there before signing up is selected again during setup. The site navigation now has Features, Pricing, Log in and Get started free.
