Choose your team's Newsletter under Newsletter sign-up at checkout in Store settings. The Checkout page will show an unticked box for emails from your Store. A buyer who ticks it is added to the Newsletter when the order is paid, with the source Store checkout, and their customer page shows the consent and its date. Buyers who leave it unticked are not added, and an address that unsubscribed from the Newsletter is never added again.
