Improved Store

Storefronts work better with a keyboard and screen reader

Storefronts have a Skip to content link, a focus ring on every field, darker grey text and field edges, and field help that screen readers read with the field.

The storefront's home, Collection, Product, Cart, gift card balance and Checkout pages have a Skip to content link as their first stop for the keyboard, and every link, button and field on them shows a focus ring.

Grey text, including a crossed-out earlier price, now has at least 4.5:1 contrast with the page, and field edges at least 3:1. Proceed to checkout uses the text colour chosen for the Store's accent colour instead of white.

Screen readers read help and errors with their field (such as a personalisation's length, the quantity limit and a refused back-in-stock email), the shipping methods and totals on Checkout when the country changes them, and the quantity of each item in the order summary.
