Desktop navigation now has two states instead of three. The sidebar reads in words as before, and collapsing it hands the whole width to the page with a menu button in the top bar, the way spreadsheets and documents already worked. The menu opens as a panel that floats below the button rather than a full-height drawer, sized to its contents and without a scrollbar down its side. The narrow strip of two-letter marks is gone: it could never show the tool catalog, so the "AL" mark on it led nowhere. To bring the sidebar back, open the menu and use the arrow beside the Navigation heading.
A simpler collapsed sidebar on desktop
Collapsing the sidebar now gives the page its full width and opens navigation as a floating menu, replacing the narrow strip of two-letter marks.
