Checks for returning information

Frequently asked questions
- What happens after I sign up?
- Create your identity profile and sign an authorization. Enrollment has a two-hour review period and requires administrator approval before broker work starts. Editing identity details starts that review period again. Some sites require you to complete an email, phone or other verification step.
- Do I need to know where my information appears?
- Not for sites with a supported search process. The coverage list distinguishes search and request procedures from removal instructions. You can choose whether possible matches wait for your review.
- What kinds of personal information does Magpie remove?
- Data brokers and people-search sites build profiles from personal details: your name and other names you have used, current and previous addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, age and date of birth, employers, and the relatives and associates listed alongside you. The identity profile helps match those records where a site supports search; the removal procedure determines which information a request needs.
- What information do I need to provide?
- Add your name, date of birth, current address and account email. Previous addresses, phone numbers and other email addresses can help with removal requests but are optional.
- What if there's a particular site I want my information removed from?
- Send the address to support, or use Request a removal from your account. Magpie records the request for review; submission and removal are not guaranteed for a site outside the coverage list.
- How long does removal take?
- Timing depends on the site’s procedure and any verification it requires. The dashboard distinguishes submitted requests from confirmed removals.
- Who does a subscription cover?
- One person. Access is included with your own paid Magpie plan; membership in another person’s paid team does not provide Data Removal.
- Does this remove all information about me from the internet?
- No. Coverage is limited to the listed procedures. News, social networks and other sites are outside that scope. A submitted request is not a confirmed removal.
- How does Magpie protect my information?
- Your information is encrypted and never sold. Magpie does not keep identity documents that a data broker asks you to provide directly. Privacy details · Security
- What happens when I cancel?
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your paid plan and Data Removal access continue to the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Can I get a refund?
- If you first buy a paid Magpie plan through Data Removal, contact support within 30 days of that payment. If Magpie has not submitted your first removal request, the payment is refunded in full. After that, the refund is prorated for the time remaining in the billing period. The policy applies to the first payment, not renewals. A refund ends the paid plan and Data Removal access. Cancelling by itself does not request a refund.
