When a recording made as an MP4 (in Safari, on a phone, or uploaded) had cuts or images, the MP4 made for its download was saved over the original file, and the next edit deleted that file. The downloaded MP4 is now a separate file, and the original is never changed or deleted.
A recording affected before this fix keeps the file it has now, and editing it no longer deletes that file.
