Once a recording is ready, Edit on the Recordings list opens the recording editor. Cuts and images change what the share page plays and what is downloaded; the original recording file is never changed.

Trim and cut

The timeline shows the video as segments. Drag a segment's edge to trim the start or the end. To cut out a part, pause inside a kept segment and choose Split at playhead, then select the segment to remove and choose Remove segment. Reset cuts puts the whole recording back.

Images over the video

Pause on the moment an image should appear, choose Add image and pick one from Your images, then drag and resize it on the video. Appears at and On screen for set when it shows and for how long (from a few frames to the whole recording), and dragging its block on the timeline, or either end of the block, does the same. You can add as many images as you like, several at once. Layer with Bring to front, Bring forward, Send backward and Send to back sets which image is on top. Delete image removes the selected one.

Save

Cuts and images stay in the editor until you choose Save. The share page then skips removed parts and shows the images at once, and a downloaded MP4 is made with the cuts and images together; a change after a download makes a new file the next time someone downloads it.

Thumbnail

Thumbnail sets the still frame shown before the recording plays and when its link is shared. Pause on the frame you want and choose Use current frame. It is saved at once, without Save.

The editor's File menu also has All recordings, View share page, Share page settings, Analytics, Invite people to watch (see Share a screen recording) and Move to Trash.
