Product feeds for Google and Meta
List your published Store products in Google Merchant Center and Meta catalogs with feed addresses that update as your products change.
Store settings shows two addresses under Product feeds:
- Google Merchant Center:
/shop/{your store}/feed.xml. - Meta catalog:
/shop/{your store}/feed.csv, used by Facebook and Instagram shopping.
Click an address or Copy to copy it, then add it in Google Merchant Center or Meta Commerce Manager as a scheduled feed. Those services fetch it on their own schedule.
A feed lists one item for each variant that is for sale, with a price, on a published product that has an image. Each item has:
- the product's name, with the option's name for a product with options;
- its search engine description, or else its description;
- its link and images, the variant's own image first;
- its price, availability (in stock or out of stock), SKU, brand (the product's vendor, or else the Store's name) and shipping weight;
- its barcode as the GTIN, when the barcode is a UPC, EAN or ITF-14 (8, 12, 13 or 14 digits). Any other barcode, such as your own shelf code, is left out.
A variant whose compare-at price is higher than its price is listed at the compare-at price with a sale price. Variants of one product share a group id. A variant whose stock is tracked is listed as out of stock when none is left, even when it sells on back order. A bundle is in stock while its parts are.
The links and image addresses in the feeds use the Store's Magpie address, also when the Store has its own domain (see Show your Store at your own domain).
The feeds work only while the Store is published.
Google and Meta may have their own requirements, such as a GTIN for some products: enter it as the variant's barcode. They report problems in their own dashboards. If an item is missing from a feed that should include it, check that the product is published, has an image and has a variant for sale with a price. If it is, Contact support.
