In Magpie öffnen

Open Account settings and choose Delete account, at the bottom of the page on the website or the last row in the mobile app. You can also go straight to /delete-account on the website; it asks you to sign in first.

What happens

Deleting is immediate and cannot be undone. Every sign-in ends, on every device, and your email address, name, handle, bio, photo, password, two-factor setup and linked Apple, Google, LinkedIn and GitHub accounts are erased. The email address can be used to sign up again later as a new account.

Teams you own that have no other members will be archived. Guests of those teams and of your Personal will be removed, and each will get an email saying that you deleted your account. Things you wrote in teams that continue will stay in those teams, shown as Deleted user.

Before you can delete

Magpie will not delete the account while:

  • you own a team that has other members (guests do not count). Transfer it to another admin first; see Create and manage a team.
  • your Magpie plan is still set to renew. Cancel it in Billing first.
  • a team you own alone has a Team plan that is still set to renew. Cancel it from that team's Plan page before it can be archived.
  • you support a team and that subscription is still set to renew. Cancel it from Who you support in the account menu first.

The page lists whichever of these apply under Before this account can be deleted.

Confirming

Enter your password, and a code from your authenticator app if two-factor authentication is on. An account with no password types DELETE instead. Then select Delete account.

A subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play is managed in that store. Deleting the account does not cancel it.

For help with deleting an account, see Contact support.
