Software Watch email
Who gets Software Watch's email, when the daily and urgent emails are sent, and how to choose what each site emails about.
Software Watch emails the people in Personal or a team who look after its sites.
Who gets it
Team admins get Software Watch's email unless they turn it off. Anyone else who can use Software Watch in the team gets it once they turn it on. Each person turns their own email on or off on Software Watch's Settings page, for that team, and every email links there.
The daily email
Sent once a day, after 07:00 in your time zone (set in your profile), and only when something is new since your last one:
- findings first seen since then, at or above each site's Email about;
- software whose version may need attention;
- a site whose verification was lost;
- what was fixed.
Nothing new, no email.
The urgent email
A vulnerability that is actively exploited, or critical with a fixed version, is emailed within minutes of being found, at most once a site an hour. Later urgent findings in that hour join the next one. It is not repeated in the daily email.
Email about
Each site's page has Email about:
| Choice | Emails |
|---|---|
| Everything new | Every new finding |
| High and critical | Vulnerabilities rated high or critical, or not rated, and end of life and certificates |
| Urgent only | Urgent findings, and what was fixed |
| Nothing | No email about this site, urgent or daily |
A finding a site's choice leaves out is still on its page.
