Generate website icons
Choose one image and download a complete favicon package for your website.
Open Favicon Generator and choose an image. Choose from Magpie opens your image library and uses an image already there. You can also browse for a PNG, JPEG, GIF, or WebP file, drop one onto the upload area, or paste an image from the clipboard.
The mobile app can choose an image from your image library, upload a photo from your device or take a photo, create a favicon project, and share the generated ZIP. A device image is added to your image library first. Clipboard paste remains on the website.
Non-square images are padded without stretching. The padding colour comes from the image's top-left pixel. A PNG with a transparent background is usually the best choice when the icon does not fill the whole square.
Select Generate package, then download the ZIP. It includes browser, Apple,
Android, maskable, Microsoft, and setup files, including favicon.png at
32×32 pixels. Maskable icons have extra padding
so Android can crop them into different launcher shapes without cutting off the
logo.
An image you upload here is saved to your image library, so it can be reused in other tools. Either way the source becomes a favicon project, which records when it was created, when it was last generated, and how many times it has been downloaded. The ZIP is created when you download it and is not saved on the server, so you can return to this page and generate it again later.
Delete a saved favicon project from the project list when you no longer need it. Deleting the project does not delete the source image from your image library.
