The Image Converter Batch page with two Northline image files and shared resize, crop, format and metadata rules.

Batch rules preserve each image’s proportions

Batch can take images from your device, a folder or the Magpie image library. The same conversion rules apply to every file, while each image keeps its own shape unless you choose a centre crop.

Decide what the files should become

Dimensions and crop
Set maximum width and height, or crop every image to the same ratio.
Format and quality
Output JPEG, PNG, WebP or AVIF. Choose quality or a maximum file size, with an option to reduce dimensions if lower quality is not enough.
Names and metadata
Keep original names, add a prefix or suffix, or number the outputs. Metadata removal is on by default.
Destination
Download a ZIP or save the results to your Magpie image library.

One picture or a folder

One picture

Use the single-image editor when you need to place the crop by eye, rotate or flip the source, or make several sizes from it.

Several pictures

Use Batch when a folder needs the same width limit, format or file-size rule. Preview the first five results before converting the full set.

Before choosing a source

Will conversion change the original image?

No. The original remains the source. Download the result or save a separate copy to Magpie.

Can I convert iPhone photos?

Yes. HEIC and HEIF photos are accepted on the single-image and Batch pages. Each one is converted to a JPEG when it is uploaded.

Are converted files kept permanently?

Unsaved results remain downloadable for 48 hours. Save a copy to the image library to retain it under your storage allowance.
