Client Portal
Make a plan with each client: the goals you are working towards, and the stages and steps to reach them.
A plan is part of a client's Client Portal. Its goals show how far each has come, and its stages hold the steps of your process, each for your team or for the client. Share the plan when it is ready, and the client will see it in their portal and tick their own steps.

A goal is what you and the client are working towards. It is a number to reach, or an outcome that is achieved or not.
- A number to reach
- A goal with a target, such as 10,000 for monthly revenue, runs from its start (0 when none is set) to the target. A target below the start works the same way, for a number to bring down.
- Units and target dates
- A unit such as $, kg or clients is shown with each number, and each goal can have a date to reach it by.
- Recorded values
- Type where the goal stands now, such as $6,500, and choose Record. The bar under the goal shows how far it has come, and the goal's page lists every value with who recorded it and when.
- An outcome
- A goal without a target, such as launching a course, is achieved or not. Your team marks it achieved.
Stages and steps
Stages are the parts of your process, such as Discovery or Launch. Each step in a stage is for your team or for the client, and can have a due date.
Add the steps
Add a step at the foot of its stage and choose who it is for. Its title, who it is for and its due date change where they are shown.
Put them in order
Drag a step within its stage or into another, or move it one place with its arrows. Stages move up or down from their menu.
Tick them done
Your team can tick any step, the client's too. Each done step shows when it was done and by whom.
The current stage
The current stage is the first one with a step still to do. Ticking the last step of a stage moves the plan on to the next.
Share the plan with the client
A new plan is a draft that only your team sees, and View as client opens it as the client will see it. Share with, beside the plan's name, makes it active: the client will see it in their portal, and each client who can sign in will get an email about it while Email clients is on in the portal's details.
A completed plan stays in the portal, shown as finished, and the client can no longer tick steps or record progress in it. Moving a plan back to draft hides it from the client.
What the client sees and does
Clients see a shared plan's goals and how far each has come, every stage with its steps, and which steps are theirs. Their portal's Overview lists their open steps first, under For you to do, then each active plan with its goals.
- Their steps
- In an active plan, clients tick the steps that are for them, and can reopen one. Your team's steps are shown to them read only.
- Their numbers
- Clients can record where a goal with a target stands. Their values are listed on the goal's page with their names.
- Client activity
- Each step a client ticks and each value they record is listed under Client activity on the portal's page.
Starter plans
A starter plan holds a process you take every client through: its goals, its stages and the steps in each, with who each step is for. Starters are listed under Starters in Client Portal, and any portal in Personal or the team can use them.
- Build a starter
- A starter is built like a plan, but has no progress and is never shown to clients. A step's due date is a number of days after the plan starts, such as 14.
- Save a plan as a starter
- Save as starter, in a plan's More menu, makes a starter from it. Each step's due date becomes the number of days after the plan was made.
- Start a plan from a starter
- Choose the starter when you start a new plan. The plan will get a copy of its goals, with their start and target, and of its stages and steps, each due that many days after today. It starts as a draft.
- Plans keep their own copy
- Changing a starter, or deleting it, does not change the plans already made from it.
Who works on plans
Every member who can use Client Portal in the team sees each portal's plans. Members with edit access to the team's work make, change and share plans and starters.
