Press ? on any page to see its keyboard shortcuts in a Keyboard shortcuts window. Pages with their own keys, such as Notes and Store's products, also have a Keyboard shortcuts button. On a page with no keys of its own, ? opens the page's Help article in the Help panel instead.

Keys that are a single letter or ? do nothing while you are typing in a field. Keys with ⌘ or Ctrl still work there.

On every page

  • ⌘K on a Mac, or Ctrl K elsewhere: open Search, which finds tools, pages, settings, your work and Help. See Find your way around Magpie.
  • ?: the page's keyboard shortcuts, or its Help article.
  • Esc: close the open window, panel or menu.

In a list of work

Lists such as Documents, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Forms, Design files, Idea Boards, Websites, Podcasts, Meetings, Flashcards, Your teams, Trash and the Search page:

  • J and K: move to the next or previous row.
  • O or Enter: open the highlighted row.
  • /: go to the list's search field.

Where rows can be selected, such as Trash and Store's products, X selects or deselects the highlighted row and Esc clears the selection.

On Dashboard

  • N: write a new note. In the note window, ⌘S (Ctrl+S on Windows) saves at once and Esc closes it.
  • T: add a new To-do. In the New To-do window, Enter adds the To-do and Esc closes the window.

In an area

Notes, Documents, Spreadsheets, Presentations (while editing and while presenting), Kanban Boards, Idea Boards, Calendar, Team chat, Bookmarks, Books, Proposals, Screen Recorder's editor, Flashcards and the RSS Reader have keys of their own; press ? there to list them. See also RSS Reader controls and keyboard shortcuts and, for the Design editor, Inspect and export a Design.

If a shortcut listed in the window does nothing, Contact support.
