Notes is a private writing area for the selected Personal or team context. A note has a title and a Markdown body. Changes are saved from the editor; wait for the saved state before closing a tab after a large edit.

Markdown uses plain characters for structure:

# Heading
**bold** and *italic*
- list item

Use the editor's writing and preview modes to check the rendered result. The keyboard-shortcuts control lists the current commands for creating, finding, navigating, and formatting notes. Browser or operating-system shortcuts can take precedence when they use the same key combination.

The mobile development app displays common Markdown formatting when reading a note, including headings, lists, quotes, emphasis, inline code, and safe links. Use the website preview for advanced formatting.

The mobile app keeps a short recovery copy of a Note draft on the device, scoped to your account and workspace, and removes it after the Note is saved. The copy is bounded; the editor says when a draft is too large to persist. It is not an offline save queue, so save the Note before leaving the app.

If a note changes elsewhere while you are editing it in the mobile app, Magpie keeps your draft and shows the latest saved version. Choose which version to keep before saving again.

Notes belong to the context selected when they are created. If a note seems to have disappeared, check Personal or the other teams you use. Plan limits apply to the number of notes in each paying context.

If a note is in the wrong team, open its options and choose Move to another team. Choose the destination and confirm. In the mobile app, find the same action in the note menu. Save any edits first. The note and its drafts move together; people in the old team may lose access.

The Workspace Assistant can search Notes and retrieve the bounded Markdown body of a specific Note when you give it the Note's Magpie link or UUID. It only reads Notes in the selected context and does not expose attachments or hidden metadata.

For a note that will not save or render valid Markdown, copy the text somewhere safe before reloading, then Contact support.
