Create and publish podcasts
Manage several podcasts, upload MP3 episodes, set feed details, and share an RSS feed.
Each podcast has its own title, address, episodes, artwork, settings, public page, and RSS feed. An account can have more than one podcast when its plan permits.
Create or select a podcast from Podcast. Upload an MP3 with an episode title and description when the audio was made elsewhere. Uploaded and browser-recorded episodes appear in the same episode list.
Under Podcast settings, edit the title, author, description, category, explicit- content value, and artwork. The on/off switch controls whether the podcast is public. The public page and RSS feed addresses are shown there for copying.
Podcast apps subscribe to the RSS address rather than the member page. Changing the podcast title does not require a new feed address. Avoid changing its slug after distributing the feed. Deleting an episode removes it from the feed and may make a listener's saved download unavailable.
A published episode can be exported as a video. Open Video beside an episode, choose Add image, then drag and resize the image on the artwork or on the timeline. The side panel sets when it appears and how long it stays on screen. Choose Save before Create video. The video plays the episode audio over the podcast artwork. Creating the video again replaces the file.
An image can be linked to one of the people who recorded the episode. Under React to speaker choose the participant; while they are talking the image is shown at the speaking opacity, and while they are quiet it drops to the quiet opacity. The defaults brighten to full and dim to 30%. This only applies to episodes recorded with Magpie, and only once the take has been prepared.
The native app lists your account's podcasts and their published episodes, and records new ones: solo, or with other people in a recording session. See Record a podcast episode. Uploading an MP3 and podcast settings remain on the website. Published episodes play in the native app, with play and pause, position controls, 15-second back, 30-second forward and playback speed. Playback can continue in the background and appears in the device's media controls.
Use square, high-resolution artwork that remains legible at thumbnail size. For a published episode missing from the feed after reloading it, Contact support.
