Review and share a Design
Invite direct collaborators, work together, and keep comments anchored to the design.
A Design file belongs to one Magpie team. Team access uses that team's Viewer, Editor, and administrator rules. Share Design can also invite a Magpie username directly as Viewer, Commenter, or Editor. Direct access applies only to that file and does not add the person to the team. In the mobile app, open the Design file and choose Collaborators from its action menu to add, change or remove direct access.
Viewers navigate, inspect allowed properties, play Prototypes, and export when allowed. Commenters can also start and reply to threads. Editors can change the Design file. Team administrators manage sharing, Libraries, Branch merges, and deletion.
To comment on a spot, choose the Comment tool or press C, then click the canvas. The Comments drawer opens with the comment pinned there. Without the Comment tool, a new comment is pinned beside the selected Layer, or left unpinned when nothing is selected. Comments in the page bar shows the number of open threads. While the Comment tool is active or the drawer is open, numbered pins mark each open thread on the current Page; click a pin to read it, or choose Show on canvas in the drawer to go to it.
Choose Reply beside a thread to add a linked reply. Resolve a finished thread; turn on Show resolved to see it again and Reopen it. Comments from other people appear without reloading. Writing a username in a comment does not grant that person access or send a separate notification.
Active collaborators, their Page context, cursors, and selections are presence data and are not written to Version History. Persistent changes use ordered, idempotent operations. Independent property edits merge. Same-property edits use server order and are reported to the later client. A mutation whose Layer was deleted is skipped and reported. Text changes use granular insert and delete operations. If access is revoked while a file is open, the server rejects the next mutation and the editor becomes read-only. Local operations that have not reached the server remain available in Recovery for download or discard.
If someone retains editing access after removal, Contact support.
