Subscriptions

The person who creates an issue, its assignee, and everyone who comments on it are subscribed to it. Choose Subscribe or Unsubscribe beside the issue's name to change that for yourself. Unsubscribing is kept even if you comment on the issue or are assigned to it later.

Subscribers get a notification when someone else changes the issue or comments on it. Your own changes, changes made by automation rules, and moving an issue to Trash do not send notifications.

Mentions

Write @ and a member's handle, such as @sam, in a comment or a description to notify that member of the team. A handle is set in Account settings (see Your public profile and account details). The mentioned member gets a notification even if they unsubscribed, and is subscribed to the issue unless they unsubscribed from it before.

Notifications

Notifications in the Issues section of the sidebar lists recent updates to issues in Personal or the selected team, newest first. Unread updates are marked Unread; choose Mark read to clear the mark.

Email

Issue email is off until you turn it on. On Notifications, choose Email settings and turn on any of these; each switch saves at once and applies in every team:

  • Mentions: when someone mentions you.
  • Assignments: when an issue is assigned to you.
  • Comments: when someone comments on an issue you are subscribed to.
  • Project issue updates: other changes to subscribed issues that are in a project.

Changes to an issue with no project are not emailed, apart from mentions, assignments and comments.
