Charge for coaching
Set a price, instalments or monthly payments and an agreement for a client's coaching, and invoice extra sessions.
A client's coaching can have a price, a way to pay it and an agreement to sign. Magpie issues the invoices through Invoicing and sends the agreement through E-Signatures; it never moves money itself.
Price, payment and agreement
Set them in Edit details while the client's coaching is a draft, or on a program so every client started on it has them:
- Price, in your Invoicing currency. Tax is added as in Invoicing.
- Payment: pay in full, monthly instalments (from 2 to 24, with any uneven amount added to the first), or monthly until coaching ends.
- Agreement: an E-Signatures starter with a signer whose role is Client and one whose role is Coach. The client and the lead coach sign it.
When you start coaching, the first invoice is issued, emailed to your client with its Pay link, and shared in their portal. Instalments and monthly payments are then invoiced a month apart; each is shared in the portal as it is made. When your client pays the first invoice online they can choose to save their card, and the next ones are charged to it. Coaching invoices do not count toward your plan's monthly invoices.
The agreement is sent at the same time and shared in the portal. With Start after the agreement is signed, which is on when you choose an agreement, your client sees only the agreement until they sign it, and coaching starts on the day they do: check-ins, reminders and a program's days count from then.
Once coaching starts, the client's page lists the agreement and each invoice under Agreement and invoices. Change, void or refund an invoice in Invoicing, and the agreement in E-Signatures. Ending coaching never refunds anything by itself.
Add sessions
When a client's coaching includes a number of sessions, Add sessions… in the More menu beside their name adds more. Give a price per session to send your client (or the sponsor, when the sponsor pays) an invoice for them with a Pay link; leave it empty to add them without one.
