Contacts belong to the selected Personal or team context. Search the list by name, company, About text, activity note, or tag, or create a contact from the page action. Search terms may appear in different fields on the same contact.

A contact can store a structured name, display name, company, several email addresses, phone numbers and postal addresses, and one primary value of each kind. Labels such as work or billing explain how a value is used. About holds a short description of who the person is; everything in a contact is private to the owning context. For a dated history of notes, calls and follow-ups, see Keep notes and follow-ups on a contact.

Tags group contacts for your own use. Select existing tags or add a new tag while editing. The website creates a new tag when the Contact saves. The mobile app creates and selects it when you choose Create and select tag. Customer details include the default payment-term length and billing address used when starting an invoice. Admins can set a Contact's default hourly rate for new time entries linked to it. The rate uses the selected context's default invoice currency, and a project rate takes precedence. Adding a contact from the invoice editor returns to the preserved draft with that contact selected.

Country fields that request a short code use the two-letter country form such as CA or US. A contact with invoices on file cannot be deleted because the invoice history must keep its customer relationship.

The list shows 50 contacts at a time, with Previous/Next controls. Check individual rows, or the header checkbox for everything on the page, to select several at once; when there are more matching contacts than fit on the page, a "Select all" option extends the selection to everything matching the current search or tag filter. Deleting a selection skips any contact with invoices on file and reports how many were deleted and how many were skipped.

In the mobile app, choose Select contacts from the Contacts action menu, tap up to 100 contacts, then Delete selected. To delete every contact the current search shows, choose Delete all matching… instead; the app shows how many will be deleted before you confirm, and stops if the matching contacts change first. Up to 1,000 contacts can be deleted this way. Contacts with invoices are kept and the app says how many.

The mobile app opens a Contact in reading view, with an optional private contact photo and grouped contact methods, addresses, billing details, notes and a bounded invoice history. It preserves prefix, first, middle and last names and suffixes alongside the display name. If you can edit it, select the pencil in the header. Save and Cancel remain in the header while you move through the form. From Invoices, open an existing invoice or choose New invoice for this contact from the Contact view. In the editor, choose or take a photo; it is stored in your account image library and checked before it is attached to the contact. Choose Remove photo to clear it. The photo is shown only through authenticated native image requests.

The mobile app keeps a bounded recovery copy of a Contact create or edit draft in the device's protected store. It is scoped to your account, the selected context and the Contact, and is removed after the Contact saves or you discard it. If the complete draft is too large for the protected store, it stays in the editor and is not partly persisted. This is not an offline save queue.

Plan limits apply to the number of contacts. If a saved contact appears missing, check the selected context. If its data is present but cannot be opened, Contact support.
