Contracts

Contracts is each company's register of contracts: customers, suppliers, leases, employment, insurance, subscriptions, loans, confidentiality and partnerships.

Adding a contract

Add contract asks for the company, the title, who it is with, the kind, and the dates of its first term. A name that matches a contact links the contract to the contact, and the contact's history lists it. On the contract's page you set the owner, the key terms, a review date, the recurring expense or recurring invoices it goes with, and a Password Vault item.

Terms and notice

The current term has its start, its end or no end, whether it renews by itself and for how many months, the notice period in days, and its value once, a month, a quarter or a year. The last day to give notice is the end less the notice period: ending 31 December with 90 days' notice, notice is due by 2 October.

Give notice records the day notice was given. The contract ends on the last day of its term and does not renew. For a contract with no end date, it ends when the notice period has run.

Renew closes the current term and opens the next. Left empty, the next term follows on from the last for the renewal period, at the same value. End contract in More ends it on a day.

A contract that renews by itself, with no notice given, renews the day after its term ends, and its owner is emailed. Every term is kept on the contract's page.

Reminders

A contract reminds 60 and 30 days before the last day to give notice, and on that day; before its end, when it will not renew; and on its review date. You can change the days in Settings.

Signed agreements and requests

Above the register, Signed, not in the register lists what your team signed in Agreements and E-Signatures that no contract holds yet. SAFEs are recorded in Ownership instead. Add to contracts asks for the company and the dates, and files the signed copy as the contract's document. Dismiss stops offering one.
