Company documents
File each company's certificates, articles, licences, insurance and signed papers against the record they belong to, with reminders before they expire.
Documents lists every company's documents by kind, with those that expire soonest first. Add document files one against a company, or against one of its records: an officer, a share transaction, a SAFE, an option grant, a resolution, a meeting, a filing or a contract.
Kinds of document
Each team starts with these kinds: certificate of incorporation, articles or bylaws, shareholders' agreement, share certificate, minutes, resolution, licence or permit, insurance certificate, lease, tax registration, bank letter, filing confirmation, signed contract and other. Settings, Kinds of document renames them, adds others and says which kinds expire.
Files
A file can be up to 25 MB and must be one of .pdf, .doc, .docx, .txt, .jpg, .png, .webp, .heic or .heif. Files count towards your plan's storage. Each file is encrypted where it is stored, and opens only for the people who can use Company Records.
Expiry
A document with an expiry date is on Coming up, and admins are emailed 30 and 7 days before it expires. Renewing a licence or insurance from its filing replaces the document, which is kept as replaced.
A document moved to Trash can be restored for 30 days; after that its file is deleted.
